Sherry and I put together the tables with pictures of Joy.It was a big project, but it turned out beautiful. 
Joy LOVED the Suns!! She was the biggest fan! 
Joy's hobby was doing latch hook. She made these ones and many more. She made smaller ones for every grandchild. 
My parents served doughnuts & brownies from the family bakery at the viewing. This night was almost like a party. The atmosphere was something Joy would have absolutely loved! She loved being around so many people who she loved.
I made a couple books with pictures of her.
John helped Sherry & I put together a video of Joylin. She is so cute! It was perfect. 
Her casket was absolutely beautiful. 
My Mom and my sisters all helped dress Joylin. It was a very unique and special time. I was so happy to be able to do this one last service for her. To get her looking her best for all her loved ones to come see her and say goodbye. We all helped dress her, then I did her hair and Mom, Sherry, & Donna did her makeup. It was hard emotionally, but so worth it. Joy looked so peaceful and beautiful. My mom also asked Sherry and I to do her hair. It was so fun. My mom has the most gorgeous thick hair. I also helped her pick out her outfit. I loved being able to help her a tiny bit in this very hard time for her.
Some of my Dads brothers and sisters. I love them so much! They are hilarious. 
And of course the whole night was filled with love and hugs and tears and smiles. I'm sure Joy was there with her arms wrapped around all of us. We will all miss her hugs.
It was so nice to have so much love and support from so many friends. I have the bestest friends ever. Thanks so much to everyone who has helped us through this very difficult time.
John was teasing Tyler and I because we are always so touchy-feely and affectionate :)
I will always remember these two when I think of Joy. They were such good friends to her through her teenage years. 
And then there's Kari. I don't even know how to express how much strength she gives me. Thank you for your amazing example and friendship! She lost her husband about a year and a half ago, and they have 3 beautiful kids. It was so tragic, but she has the most amazing testimony and spirit that has kept her strong and everyone around her. I love you Kari!

I'm so glad you were able to help dress Joy! I was able to do that for my grandma when she passed away. It was difficult like you said, but it really helped me cope with some of the sadness that comes with death. A little bit of closure if you will. What a wonderful viewing...wish I could have been there. And Joy would have definitely wanted it to be a happy occasion! She is such a sweet spirit and I'm so happy she's in such a wonderful place!
