Easter Weekend

I was going through all my recent pictures and realized there is quite a bit that I have forgotten to journal about. So the next couple days I'm going to catch up on the last busy month.

I always love spring time. I love Easter and I love General Conference weekend. Every conference just seems to get better and better. I sit and work at the computer many hours a day so my favorite thing is to turn on conference and just listen as I work. It's so sweet and uplifting. I always have a good and happy day whenever I listen to our apostles and prophet bear their testimony and give us guidance. This Easter seemed simple and sweet compared to last year. It was so emotional speaking in sacrament meeting on Easter morning about the resurrection with my sick sister Joy laying on our Dad's lap in the congregation listening to me. Then she passed away 3 days later. I am now so grateful for the experience and know how much our Heavenly Father and Savior loves each one of us and knows how to help us when we are in need.

For April conference this year Sherry made the kids these cute candy bags and every time they heard the word on the bag they could eat a piece of that candy. They also had some activity packets. It was all slightly distracting but they had a lot of fun. They did listen and could actually tell me some things they heard and learned.  

The whole SHALL family painted eggs together for family night :)  

We had all our Easter fun the Saturday before Easter. The Easter Bunny comes on Saturday at the Shumway house. They kids were so excited and of course ended up with way too much candy! Then we started with breakfast at Grandma and Grandpa Hall's house. They always gets tons of eggs at the Halls!

Then we had lunch with the Smith family. My brother Glade's family raises chickens and this year they got a new batch of chicks right before Easter! The kids loved it! They made Easter extra sweet :) So cute!
