5 months {May}

At 5 months we tried some rice baby cereal.
Rigdon was a little unsure at first but it took just a few minutes for him to absolutely love it!
He was a champion eater!

Ezra absolutely hated it!
He would scream every time you put it in his mouth.
He acted like we were torturing him!
He wouldn't swallow any of it!
He would cry and cry until it all leaked out of his mouth!
So sad :(
*The big kids had a really cute decades music performance.
Shyann danced to some 1930's music...I can't remember what it was called, but it was cute watching the boys spin her around.
Trulie was super cute in the hand jive!
She loved it! Her legs had bruises when she was done!
Jarvis danced to some disco music.
He was soooo adorable!!
That boy got his moves from his dad!
Branson danced to some MC Hammer music.
It was hilarious and he loved every moment!

*The boys got sick for the first time in May. I was really worried about having winter preemies and having so many kids home that go to school full of germs. But I'm so glad we were able to keep them healthy for that long! Having 2 sick babies is miserable!! They were grumpy and I can't even count how many baths I gave during the day. Yuck.
Ezzy Boy
The whole family got it. That night we ALL went to bed with a trash can next to us :(
Not good times.

*The babies also started rolling over all the time too!
And starting to pick on each other a little bit too :)

*And they started holding their own bottles which has been fabulous! :)

*The babies loved to be outside. They loved watching the other kids play or watching Daddy work outside.

*Tyler is building on to the back of the house since ours is too small for our family! But I will have to post more pics of that later.

*And he grew some beautiful green summer and winter grass this year!

*We had a beautiful double rainbow that looked like the pot of gold should have been right in our back yard!
*I am always so surprised how often the boys are doing the exact same thing. I always try to get a picture but they move before I can grab the camera.

*Jarvis sharing his Walkman with Ezra :)
Yes we have a Walkman that plays cds that the kids love! Ha!

*Ezra was never a good sleeper. It has been so hard on me. He would sleep best still all bundled up. I was always too scared to put him on his belly cause he had wouldn't turn his head. He loved his face sort of smothered. I would have him sleeping next to me all day. It always freaked me out.
I probably made the babies not good sleepers cause they slept in the same bed so the second one would make a noise I would jump right up because I was so terrified of them waking up the other one. And I kept Ezra out in the living room with me to sleep during the day so I could watch him. Oh ya did I mention I started working again too? I'm only doing it part time but it's still extremely difficult trying to stay caught up and taking care of these 2. This has been the most difficult year mentally and emotionally and physically exhausting! I started putting Rigdon in my room and sleeping on the couch with Ezra next to me in the basinet hoping they would sleep better apart from each other. They would both wake up every couple of hours but not together. I don't have help at night and I hated taking care of them both in the middle of the night at the same time. How do you feed them both and cuddle them back to sleep? I decided it was better to be up all night taking care of one at a time instead of both of them together. I would almost have one down when the other one would finish his bottle and ready to be burped and start crying and wake up the one I almost had down. Soooo frustrating! I would go to bed around 9 with them and be up at 10:30 and 11, 12:30 and 1, 2:30 and 3, 4:30 and 5, 6:30 and 7...and trying to pump in between and hoping that somewhere in between I would doze off for a bit. I can't even put into words how hard it was. And I don't nap. I have other kids home and work and I'm just not a good napper in general. And on top of that I was still in pain and weak. Recovering from a C-section was terrible. Getting up and down that many times out of bed was so hard. I love them sooo much and they are so precious but the first 6 months were so hard and are such a blur!!
