This summer I have loved living where we can do swim lessons for super cheap through the city recreation program. Where we lived before you have to pay tons for a super short lesson and only for 2 weeks for private lessons in someones backyard. We have done 6 weeks now and the kids are all doing amazing! We usually don't swim very often. I am just not a big fan of cold water and then being cold when you get out all wet. Tyler tells the kids that Mom's a mermaid and that's why I can't get in the water :) We usually go to the lake more than we do the pool and the kids have life jackets on the whole time. So they just haven't had much practice. But we have swam almost every day and it's so awesome seeing them swim across the pool with a beautiful smooth stroke!
We went swimming on the 4th and it happened to rain the whole time! The kids thought it was fun though! I stayed wrapped up in a dry towel the whole time to stay warm. Then we usually spend the 4th up in Payson in the cooler weather but Tyler had to work this year so we stayed home. We went to Dad's work and climbed up on the roof and watched several firework shows around the valley. The kids were nervous at first but then thought it was the coolest 4th of July ever!! We enjoyed the nice weather since it rained all day.
Daddy even put on his own firework show for us.
Fireworks. Popcicles. Swimming. Family. I think the 4th has got to be one of my favorite holidays!
I'm jealous of your 4th!! How fun!! Love the city swim classes!!! And you should get a body suit since you're always so cold! That made me laugh, of course you're cold in a pool! You wear a jacket year round!!
